The development of his stock market investments did not go as he had imagined: poor advice, opportunistic investment decisions, passive investment approaches and portfolios with sometimes unprofitable products prevented his investments from achieving a sustainable additional return. He therefore made a landmark decision.

Javier Garcia took matters into his own hands and began to manage his assets independently in the form of a family office. He was supported by his friend Thomas Gebert, a very experienced macroeconomist and stock market expert. After reading countless financial textbooks and exchanging ideas with other stock market specialists, he came to an important realization: implementing technical analysis provides a valuable tool for reducing market fluctuations and achieving higher returns. He therefore engaged experienced technical specialists to combine fundamental analysis with technical indicators in order to refine the investment strategy. His findings over many years formed the basis for the development of his own investment strategy – and this has now proven successful for several years.

The success made the rounds: Javier Garcia’s investment approach quickly attracted a great deal of interest within his network. This led to another important decision: in order to make his investment strategy accessible to third parties, he founded his own asset management company – the Point Capital Group. His friend of many years, Jules Kappeler, an internationally successful manager from the Allianz Group, was enthusiastic about his vision. He joined the company in the same year it was founded. Together they continued to develop and refine the investment strategy.

And today? All Point Capital partners invest their own assets in the same investment strategy and are thus co-invested with their clients. They attach great importance to asset management with a clear focus, active portfolio management and personal interaction with clients. The demands they place on themselves are high – you can never be satisfied.
